Using new EWS cannot connect

Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I have a user running the new Exchange Web Services Entourage 2008 and he cannot connect to an Exchange 2007 box that meets all the requirements for EWS. Any ideas?

Is the account pointing to the proper server??

I know in my case I used to connect to a back-end server for the regular
version of Entourage and I had to switch to the OWA server (front-end)
for EWS.

Also, for some weird reason, I could only access the server from within
our LAN (or VPN).
