I want to up grade by office program to office 2003. Out look has a Business
contanct manager utility that out look 2002 doesn't. But I hear that if I try
to e mail or send documents from office 2003 my company's Win 2000 and office
XP will not read or support those documents? Is that correct, If so WHY did
Microsoft create this up grade that can not be used with previous versions?

It is not correct. One issue with meeting invites from versions later than
2000 with a reminder in Outlook has a hotfix, otherwise, compatibility has
not been a problem for me using 2003 and sharing documents with work using
2000.
