Using Office 97 again

Hi. In 1998 we got a computer, and Microsoft Office 97 followed. We installed
it then. However, the computer broke down recently, and I tried to install it
again. Then I got a message that it can't be installed again, because it has
already been installed in another computer. I guess it's the safety disk that
has come to this answer, although we have received the Office pack legally
and we have installed it on the same computer. I would really appreciate if
anyone had some ideas of what to do with this problem. Thanks.

You may where it says to put in the key code use all 5's that sometimes
works as a universal key code. if it accepts the key it should install

Unfortunately the message is in Norwegian. I can translate it. It goes like:
"Microsoft office is already installed on several other computers.

You can install Microsoft Office 97 on one single computer. With some
Microsoft products other additional rights are following, which are written
in the user's license for the program.

If you have a valid license for this computer, you can get help by calling
Microsoft's customer support on the phone number which is printed in the
user's guide."

Then there's a product ID and my only option is to push "Finish"

I tried to find some place which could help me with this, but the product is
too old, they don't have support for it anymore. And I never get the chance
to enter the code. I think the whole problem is in the License disk that
follows.

Do you have a telephone option for activation? (I suspect that wasn't an
option "way back then".)

I don't know. I just figured that if there were no online help anymore for
Office 97, the telephone option has also ended. But perhaps it's worth a try.
