Using Office XP on two computers

1. are the numbers on the CD case (the product key) the ones
used to install the software ? (if it hasn't been stuck on
th elaptop)

2 Is there a sticker on the laptop that shows the product
key ? is it different from that on the CD case (or is it the
one from the CD case / packet)

If yes to 1,. I guess it is if it is OEM software
If yes to 2, perhaps not as technically it may not have
actually been installed
