Using Outllok Without a Network

I am trying to sync my Ipod with calendars and contacts on Outlook but
Outlook is not my email provider on the computer I am using. Is there a way
to launch Outlook without having it be your email service? I continually get
a message saying that there is no server and it asks me if I want to work
offline. Is there a way to do this?

You want to work offline in your case. What happens when you say OK to
that?

You may have to set Outlook up to use "offline folders" before it will work
-- don't know, as I have them already defined in Outlook on my system.
However, Outlook is NOT my default email client, so that is not necessary to
use Outlook offline (or online for that matter).
