using outlook with exchange server OR looking for new calendar pro

R

Rick

I am looking for a calendar program for our office. Here is my wish list of
what I'd like it to do:

Separate calendar per attorney
Separate calendar per court
Ability to merge all calendars to a master calendar to view and print
Ability to print by attorney or court
Ability to synch with or vies Outlook by attorney on his/her computer
Ability to synch to PDA
Any user may enter and change data
Resides on network
ability to post and access via internet

Someone told me I might be able to accomplish this with an exchange server
based program. Is this true? If not, can you suggest other programs or add
ons that will help us accomplish this?
Thanks.

I'd appreciate any help you or others can provide.

Exchange *server* will suit your purposes along with the Outlook *client*
program on each person's computer.

Court calendars can be public folders on Exchange or they can be their own
mailboxes, depending on what you intend to use the calendar for, just
tracking court dates or booking them as a resource.

I would suggest waiting for Outlook 2010 for merging and printing a master
calendar from separate attorney's calendars but you can certainly use a PF
for this now.

Exchange 2007 is a good choice but 2010 is a better one.

Outlook Web Access gives people access to Outlook from the Internet.

Everything else you describe will flow from the Outlook program on each
user's desktop - including synching (can also set PDA/Smartphone/Blackberry
to synch directly with Exchange).
