using PDS to generate a test environment?

Hi everyone

This might be a bit of an unusual question, but I'm hoping you'll be
able to help me get started.

I'm supposed to be doing some performance testing on Project Server
2003, mostly as training. I've already set up a number of scenarios,
so to speak (server/client configurations, number of clients,
operations, etc.), and my goal is to eventually build those scenarios
in a test environment and note and compare the results.

For data, the idea was to take PS's sample data and 'multiply' it
using PDS scripts- the idea being to 'clone', say, 10 projects into
100, 2 resources into 20, etc.

I've been investigating PDS a little but can't quite determine whether
I'll be able to do what I mention above. I'd appreciate it if anyone
here could let me know whether this is at all possible.

Thanks

Check out the SmokeTest utility (found on MS Download) for quickly creating
a large fully populated database for testing.

Thanks! I didn't know about the Data Population Tool. It looks like it
does just what I need.

If you can help this person, then why don't you post the answer in the
newsgroup so that everyone can benefit? This newsgroup is a forum where we
all help one another publicly. I would suggest you start posting some real
answers instead of merely advertising your services.
