I often copy a large amount of text from word to a text editor via the
clipboard. Unfortunately, this content invariably contains a large
number of quotes and apostrophes and, as a result, I have to wait an
extended amount of time for the receiving text editor to convert all of
word's 'smart' quotes, etc to plain ascii.
Is there a setting within Word that I can use to turn off the use of
these special characters as a means of speeding the process?
