Using 'Plan a meeting'

We use this function on an Exchange Server basis in a busy organisation,
however, whenever there is an update, acceptance or decline or proposed new
time done by an individual, in relation to one diary, the system generates a
copy message to all people who can 'edit' the diary as part of the
permissions setting for that person. How can we turn this part off? As some
people edit a number of diaries, they end up getting Inboxes full of these
messages and it is annoying.
