using presenter view blocks Powerpoint

When I start my slide show, using 2 monitors and with the "Show Presenter
View" marked on, Powerpoint claims the complete processor capacity of my
computer and hangs. The only thing I can do is use my taks manager to stop
Powerpoint.

I'm using Powerpoint 2003 SP2.

I have same problem on my laptop (pentium Mobile 1.7) that has ATI mobility
radeon 9700 SE grafics.
On my ohter laptop (pentium 4) that has Nvidea Geforce4 4188 Go grafics,
"Show Presenter View" works fine.
Both laptops have XP Home SP2 & Powerpoint 2003 SP2.
