Using RBS

hi,
i have set up my project server for a set of 50 users. i have read about
RBS. now all that i know is that RBS can be used to categorize resources
hierarchically. i would like to know how RBS plays its role in security
settings of the setup. in my set up i have 3 levels of hierarchy.
1. PM-proj manager
2.TL-Team leader
3.TM-Team member

and can anyone pl tell me the other uses of RBS?

The RBS field is used as a part of Project Server's security model to
control which projects and resources a user can access in the system. This
is governed primarily through the My Projects and My Resources categories in
PWA. Refer to the following link for more information about RBS and Project
