Using Runtime versions of Access97, 2000 with OfficeXP

Does anyone have information/experience using runtime versions of Access97 and Access2000 with OfficeXP (Access 2002) and Windows XP? We have countless legacy databases in our environment an will need runtime support as the upgrade of all the databases will cost too much time and money. Any thoughs?

The issue that comes to mind is the References (under
Tools in the Code Window behind forms and reports) will
probably be broken (MISSING:) and will have to be reset.

And if the databases are secured you might have some
problems with Rights/Permissions to do so...
