using title slide master

(PowerPoint 2003) I have a master with a pair of slide layout (title master
and slide master). I want to insert a new slide using the title master
layout, but I am not able to select that title master layout: the new slide
always use the slide layout.

When you use Insert > New Slide, then go to Format > Slide Layout and select the
Title Slide layout. Does that do it for you?

PowerPoint will use the title master layout if you choose the "title slide" auto layout
