Using two types of numbering systems in one document

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hello,
I'm writing a dissertation and must follow very strict guidelines. First, I need to be able to start the numbering (roman numeral) on page iv, not showing any page numbers before that. Second - after about 15 pages I need to switch to arabic numerals. This is all in one document and I have no idea how to do this. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Michal

Thanks!
The separate numbering worked (i.e. switching from roman numerals to arabic numerals) but it still won't let me start the numbering at page iv without numbering the pages before it...

Hi Michal,

place your cursor in the footer on the first page, make sure the
Formatting Palette is visible, and then click on the icon that is
labelled Format Page Number (a pencil next to a #-symbol in the Header
and Footer section of the Formatting Palette). Under Page Numbering, you
can choose to start numbering at a number you specify.
