Using VBA to configure the Navigation Panel

Hello:

I have two outstanding tasks to do via VBScript -

One is to set the Navigation Panel from the default to the "Folder Lis
- All Folders" view (found by clicking the 'Folder List' button at th
bottom of the Navigation Panel. I understand that this is saved in th
Outlook.xml file, but I can find no record of it in there, nor do an
changes made to it make any sense (eg, saving the xml file, making
change, closing Outlook, copying the xml file back over the new doe
not restore the Nav Panel to its former state). Equally my registr
sniffers draw a blank on this one too. Does anyone know of anywa
either via the Outlook API, the registry or file change to make thi
effect?

The second task it to trigger the "Download Address Book" method fro
the Send/Receive menu so that the Offline Address Book is downloaded a
the user logs in. I haven't managed to track this one down yet either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1 you cannot do. Modifying the XML is not supported and it works only
intermittently and completely unpredictably.

For #2 you can get the ID of that menu item from the CommandBars collection
of controls and call its Execute method.
