Using Visio 2003 can you have timeline dates before 1999?

I am trying to use the timeline in Visio 2003 to make a timeline dating
back to BC times. I know that the timeline is mainly for use with
project management, but I would like to use it for this purpose. Is it
possible? If so, how?
