I seem to have lost the ability to use word as my e-mail
editor and there is not an options button on my tools
menu any more. Where o where have they gone. I am using
Windows XP with Microsoft Office premium 2000

Did you update Outlook without updating the rest of Office?

Can you expand a little? I am not sure I have updated
anything consciously.

Well, it's not something you can do unconsciously <smile>.

Except for the case of Outlook 2000, which can use both Word 2000 and the
Word in Office 97 (Word 6, I think), the versions of Outlook and Word must
match in order for Word to act as the email editor.
