Usising VBA to update external links

I'm looking for some instructions or pointers for using VBA to elliminate
any user interaction when updating a front end Access file -located on the
users PC- that contains links to a back end Access file -located on a
network server.

If this would require an external installer program, are there any
recommendations?

You will find an example of updating table links here. If you know the path,
you can precode it, otherwise, you'll have to prompt the user for the path.
