My copy of Outlook 2000, which has behaved itself for the last four
years, has suddenly started forgetting my password to log into my ISP's
mail server. I keep on re-entering it and ticking the "remember
password" box, both when I try to download my mail and via the
Tools>Accounts window, but it just won't play.
I first noticed this a few days ago, when I upgraded to Mailwasher Pro
4.1, when Outlook started doing this intermittently. Since I installed
MSN Explorer it's been doing it all the time. I don't know if the
problem's connected with that in any way or if it's just a coincidence.
I'll try repairing Outlook and, if necessary, reinstalling it but does
anyone know what might be causing the problem? Internet Explorer,
which uses the same password to get me online, doesn't seem to be affected.
