Variable units for a resource on a task

Is there any way in Project Server to allocate different units of the same
resource to a single task over time i.e. Resource A is allocated to a six
week Task at 50% for the first 3 weeks and 100% for the last 3 weeks?
Thanks in advance

Yes. You must use a Work Contour to simulate your situation. Apply the
Task Usage view and scroll to the task in question. Select the task and
then click the Go To Selected Task button to bring the Work hours into view
in the timephased grid on the right. Zoom out to Months Over Weeks. You
will see how Microsoft Project has currently apportioned the Work hours on
the task in the timephased grid, and you can edit these hours by deleting
and retyping the hours the way you wish them to be performed. Hope this
helps.
