VBA training suggestions?

VB Newbie

I'm looking for tips on software out there on learning VBA for Excel. I know
how to create macros and have a good idea of what a script might look like
for the macro I created. I just want to learn how to write them on my own
for my personal use.

Any suggestions?

Thank you kindly for your input!

I do not know of any software for learning VBA, but you can't go wrong
looking at all the Excel VBA web sites as well as purchasing a copy of John
Walkenbach's "Excel 2003 Power Programming with VBA" http://j-walk.com/ss/.

Recording macros and then editing them is a powerful tool as well.

A couple options for "just getting started" . . .
"Excel VBA Programming For Dummies" by John Walkenbach
http://j-walk.com/ss/books/bookxl27.htm
MS Press book "Microsoft Excel 2002 Visual Basic for Applications Step by
Step" by Reed Jacobson
"Microsoft Excel VBA Programming for the Absolute Beginner" by Duane
Birnbaum
"Excel Programming Weekend Crash Course" by Peter G. Aitken

Other, more advanced books . . .
"Excel 2002 VBA Programmers Reference" by Rob Bovey, Stephen Bullen, John
Green, Robert Rosenberg
"Writing Excel Macros with VBA, 2nd Edition" by Steven Roman
"Definitive Guide to Excel VBA, Second Edition" by Michael Kofler
"Excel 2003 VBA Programmer's Reference" by Paul T. Kimmel
