VBScript: Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003

Thanks Julie.

The user (PM) has Project 2003 Professional installed on the server. However
it is not connected to the server. Till the time I figure out how to do so, I
tried another thing:

I logged on to the server which has all the setup (MSPP Server + Sharepoint
Services). It also has MSPP (desktop software) installed and connection
configured (as it allows me to publish projects to the server).

Now I logged to the server as a PM and then tried to update the tasks. But
the error still persists.

Please advice further.

HI VK,

Microsoft Project Server is only one component of the enterprise project
management system. Microsoft Project Professional, a desktop software,
needs to be installed on the project manager's computers as well with a
connection to the server.

As the message you quote below notes, Project Professional (not just
server) is required. For additional information see:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/epmsolution/HA102053441033.aspx
The link above is for Project 2007 EPM (Enterprise Project Management),
but you'll note it still requires Project Professional.

Also, should you have follow up questions or in the future, please post
your questions about Project Server or PWA to the project server
newsgroup (Microsoft.Public.Project.Server). That newsgroup is followed
more closely by the server gurus.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
