Verification Rejected!

I bought a computer with Office Pro installed already. I don't have the
installation disks. Now, I'm running into system generated errors while I'm
trying to create a new form. The solution, Microsoft says, is to get the
latest update for Access. I tried it, and they denied my certification
verification! Am I completely screwed here, or what?

Get in touch with your vendor and request an install CD. Did it come with
the authentication sticker? Serial number?

Well, evidently you bought a *computer* 2nd hand, not the software on it,
unless you have the installation disks. Note: that applies to the operating
system as well, not just Office.

Whew! The Update.Microsoft site allowed me to install updates without the
install disks... I've checked and this solves my problem... Thank Goodness!

Solves your problem up to the point that you are using software that is
licensed to someone other than you.
