Versions of the Project saved/published

Does the Project Server 2007 create versions of the project files when they
are saved and/or published?

Or does it overwrites? Thanks!

No versions are created. You can use the Administrative backup to save
project states that can be restored, but understand that a restore
overwrites the current plan.
