Versions

Hi,

I am unclear on the impact of having different versions of a project in the
Project Server Database. For example if I save a project under the Version
of "Approved" but also have the published version active how does that
affect my resource loading ?

It would seem logical that it wouldn't (or at least there should be a switch
to say whether a new version would have an impact on the active resources).
Can anyone advise please ?

I have checked the help and there is very little on this

Thanks

Gary

Gary,

The .published instance of your project file is the one that is used to keep
resources notified of their assignments and it is the source of information
that they will view in PWA. All other versions of the file are available to
you to perform what ifs and scenario management.
