very annoying text / image wrap problem

J

jacobite

I have a problem, which I have an encountered (and solved) before. Text
appears to be flowing 'though' images i.e. only parts of images appear at the
point where they have been inserted.

I know this is not a problem with the formatting of the image, but with the
'text' - I'm sure I have to change an option somewhere, but I can't remember
where...

any ideas folks?

I am not sure how to read your description - you will find two suggestions
below:

Do you see a "narrow band" of the picture between text paragraphs? This
indicates that your picture is "In line with text" but the line height may
have been set to an exact measure so that there is not room for the entire
picture. Select the picture. Then select Format > Paragraph > and set Line
Spacing to "Single".

If the above is not the problem, the problem may be this:
Currently, your picture is in the drawing layer of the document. To place it
in the text layer, select the picture. Then select Format > Picture > Layout
tab and click "In line with text". Click OK.
