Very Confused?!

Hello

I have a database that I split (front end ... back end) have apply/create security policies ... group group/accout with various permissions. On the server at work it works just fine! You cannot open the database without using the shortcuts that I created that refer to the mdw file and the front end

My problem is... when I bring it home on my computer it work properly. However, I had to work on a thrid computer running windows XP Pro and Office 2002 and I was able to open the database by simply clicking on the front end. It bypassed the entire security account of the database?!!? Why is this, did I miss something??? Also, when I return the database (after working on this misterious computer) to the server at work the security setting work again as they should and do not allow users to open the front end without using my shortcuts.?

When you secured the database did you remove the Admin user from the Admins
group? Did you remove ALL permissions on ALL objects from the Users group?

The Admin User has no priviledges besides User. This User was by default created, should I be modifying it (is that what you're telling me) . What exactly should I be doing?

Furthermore, are you telling me that If one does not suppress the Admin accesses that are by default enable, any person logging into a computer that has the admin access to that machine will therefore be able to bypass the database security protocol?!

Is the Admin User a member of the Admins group? If yes, then remove it.
Did you create a new user that is a member of the Admins group? If no,
create one before you do anything else.
Does the Users Group have any permissions to the objects in the database? If
yes, then remove them all.
