very frustrated!!

Why aren't any of the icons on the toolbar not working? I just paid $240.00
for this program for one class and I can't get any work done. All of the
icons are light gray. Can someone please help me.

The 1st thing to check is that the wizard icon is "turned on". This is an
incon with a picture of a Wizards Wand. Click this (it's at the top of the
toolbar) to change it's colour then re-try your icons. If this doesn't work
let us know as there are other things you can do, but this is the normal
problem when the toolbar "doesn't work".

I don't think so .All I did was installed it an right click microsoft access
and then click open. I though that open page was a blank database page. I
really don't know a lot about this. I'm taking database applications class,
that's the only reason why I purchased this program. I'm so confused.

You have opened Access, You are not yet in a file. Go to File - New on the
menu.
