Video acting differently in PowerPoint 2000 vs PP viewer 2003

Is there a reason why videos that start up automatically with a key stroke
(enter or down arrow) in PPT2000, will not in Viewer2003? The video needs a
mouse click to advance. I would tell the end user just to use the mouse to
advance the presentation, but after the video ends, a mouse click restarts it
and it requires a keystroke to get to the next slide. Is there a work
around?

The other work around is to use the PowerPoint 97 Viewer instead. It is
available at http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx
