Any help with this would be awesome!

im having issues where if i put a video in powerpoint it won't allow me to
put the text on top of the video...any text dissapears as soon as the video
begins to play...i've read all the help files on video and everything
imaginable...but i cant seem to get it to work...has anyone else had this
problem before that they could help me with...maybe im just missing a simple
step...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks so much

PowerPoint always plays video on top. It's not anything you are doing or can
do. You can use an animated GIF file and it won't play over text, but that
isn't much of a work around.

Same comment as Sonia - it cannot be done - primarily because Powerpoint
doesn't actually "play" the video - it generates the slide, then hands it off
to Windows to overlay the video - wiping out whatever is in the video space.

If text (and graphics) on video is critical to your needs, you may want to
check out alternative presentation programs like MediaShout
(http://www.mediashout.com) - it's expensive and designed for use in churches
- but fills some of these "gaps" in Powerpoint that may be critical to some
presenters.

You may also want to look for someone with access to software like
Premiere or After Effects, which can easily add text over video,
creating a new video file, which you can use in place of the one you're
currently working with. Good Luck.
