video email in outlook

With the Video Email Add-in are you supposed to be able to record sound? I
have looked for something to indicate one way or another because whenever I
try to record I have no sound. Do I need to intall something else?

Does your Webcam have sound? I doubt it. You might want to put a small txt
description to the Video and send it as a separate attachment or make a
separate Sound recording with your sound recorder and attach again
separatly..

ok - well here is an addendum to my quesion then - are you saying that if my
web- am had a mic as part of the camera as opposed to a separate mic like I
currently have I may be able to record sound? I ask this because I currently
use Yahoo! Messenger to web-cam (with my separate mic) with my son in NJ and
I thought the Video email might be a nice alternative for days when we
couldn't coordinate times.

The video email add-in for Outlook doesn't support sound. If you want sound
you are better off doing your own (small) recording and attaching it. Some
3rd party software will do a recording with sound and allow you to send it
via email.

i have the video email add on from MSN site, and it does have sound as i can
play back my recording. the problem is that i have not been able to save the
file in wmv format to send it anywhere. Everytime i try to send it, it comes
back and says that file cannot be saved in wmv format. Have not been able to
figure out why yet?
