Video/Mpg Conversion

I want to put some video on the page. Tried to rip them from a DVD I made
of my work with DVD Decrypted but they are still VOB files, whatever that
is. Tired to convert them with every program I had but can't figure it out.
I think Microsoft compression utility will make them WWW page ready but does
anyone know how or with what to convert them to mpg files?

Thanks Guys...I figured out that it's easier to capture through Microsoft
Movie Maker...it seems to do the job well...thanks.

DanceMan-
You really don't need to convert the VOB files, they are
already MPEG-2 files. Just change the extension

Thanks..tried changing to .mpg but nothing happened. The file still opens
with a DVD player. I did move it to the hard drive but couldn't make it
work...
