Video vingettes (SP?)

I am using powerpoint to display short videos (vingettes (sp?)). It has a
main menu with hyperlinks to other slides that show the video associated to
the link.

I would also like it to return to the main menu after the video is done
playing (and if I'm feeling really advaenturous, allow the user to stop the
video before its done which and return to the main menu.

Is it possible? If so, how do you do it?

If you are using PowerPoint XP/2002 and above, trigger animation can do the
job.
Have your video inserted into the last slide.
Then, go to Slide Show > Set up Show.
Put a checkmark to Loop continuously until 'esc'.
Once the video is done playing, it will automatically go back to the first
slide.
Then for stopping the video, you can set a trigger to display "Back to main
menu" link.
