VIEW BOOKS IN DIFFERENT WINDOWS

I'm not sure I understand your question. When you open a
workbook, it will open in a new window. You can use the options
on the Window menu to position the windows to your liking.

Not sure if this is what you're after.........I often open a worksheet
I want to edit in Excel, then open another instance of Excel (in
read-only mode) to view the workbook I want to reference or pull data
from. This allows me to view the workbooks without switching panes or
spliting my window.

It is also especially helpful when I'm using two monitors: I can have
each workbook appear on a separate monitor.
