View drop folder

HELP!
it is the second time that we got to more than 500 xml
file in our view fdrop folder.
We receive multiple error in the log :

We have one project server and one SQL server.
We tried to reboot the project server with out luck.
We tried to remove XML files one by one, nothing append.
Do we have to close the VWNOTIFY process as well each we
remove one XML file from the view drop folder ?

All our permissions on the view drop folder are correct as
we are running sinse about 2 years with out these problems.

I have read somewhere that this might be due to Network
problem. Any information on this.
