view months in outlook calender

Until today when they disappeeared, for no apparent
reason, when I had the outlook calender open, on the right
side just above the task pad, tow months would be
displayed with the dates in bold where there was an
appointment scheduled. Those two months have disappeared,
any idea how to get them back?
