View PWA projectcenter

Roger

Hi,

When we want to view a project in PWA (Projectcenter: not using the button open in MS PRoject) normally the project is shown. But by one of the projects the following message appears:

There is no information to display in this view

Either the project manager has not published the project plan or there is no information in the project plan to display.

When we open the projectplan with Microsoft Project Professional there's no problem, there's lots of information to display. Republishing the projectplan doesn't help either.
Did we do something wrong in the beginning? And whats the solution?

Roger:

What you want to do is publish > project plan or Publish > All information.
If the project doesn't show up after that, then you likely have a problem.
In this case, you need to look at the application event log on the server
and report the error messages here and we'll help you sort that out.

Roger,

I think any new project also would have the same problem, if yes then you might just restart the views processing service. If this doesn't work then check the app log and reply.

We are having the same problem (using MS 2002). So far we have been advised that it "sounds like it is being held up in the view drop folder. Can you check to see that the files are clearing out of that folder on the server in a reasonably short amount of time? Also have you rebooted the servers recently?"

We're just not sure what a "reasonably" short amount of time is and what to do if it's not clearing. Still working to resolve the problem.

Let me know if you find something else.
