Hmm, let me see. Of all the things which you've mentioned doing, I think the
wrong one was not telling us what you're doing.

Allowed your temporary internet folder to overflow.

Use TOOLS | Internet Options... > General > Temporary Internet files in IE6,
and Delete Files.

Thanks, it worked great, took about 5 minutes..
Is there any way to get IE or XP to do this automagically?
Is there any other indication of overflow other then an app not working?
tnx

I haven't found any....

Yes, I heard about this just after posting my reply. Odd. I suppose I may
clear out my Temporary Internet Files more often than most - I've never
encountered it.

It won't allow you to right click on images in the browser and save them in
the proper format. It always shows up as a .bmp extension.

Change your temporary internet files settings in IE under Internet
Properties | General | Temporary Internet Files and click on the settings
button. Under Temporary Internet files folder, change the amount of disk
space to use to 50 mb, or even better, 25 mb.

Is there any way to get IE or XP to do this automagically?

Set the Cache (Temporary Internet Files) to empty every time you close the
browser.
In IE, Tools->Internet Options - Advanced Tab
Scroll down to Security, then Check the box "Empty Temporary Internet Files
folder when browser is closed"

Ronx: I can't get that to work for me. Still shows files in the TIF.
