I have created a form in Access, everytime I go to open it, it takes up the
whole screen. Is there a setting in design view in which I can control it.
Once I open up the form and minimize it and scroll up to where it looks good
and save it, it still doesnt work. Any suggestions. Thanks

Try going in the Properties of the form and where it say Auto Center, select
Yes. The way you are doing will not work.

There are a few settings:
If you open your form in design view
then right click on the window that is not part of your form (grey
area)
then go to properties
go to the All tab
look for the following

Auto Resize = Yes
Border Style = Dialog

Its gonna resize it for you, so that it will fill the area that your
form is taking
so if your form continues to be real big, you gonna need to pull the
edges of your form in 'design view' (the dotted grid area) so that its
exactly around the 'content' of your form. then save and reopen it in
regular viewing , and with the settings above, it should hug it and
open nicely.

I do not get the option to set a value for Auto Center. I open the form up
in design view. There is also a subform attached to the form. I go into
Properties for both the view and the subform but there is no option for Auto
Center. Thanks.

When you go into design view (only interested in main form) and go inot the
Properties window, please make sure you are on the ALL tab. It's about a
1/4 of the way down.
