Viewing Images in Powerpoint 2003

I am using Microsoft Office 2007 and when I create tables in Excel and then
copy them as images (bitmap, jpg, gif, png, etc.) into Powerpoint, the images
are not viewable in Powerpoint 2003 (even though they've been saved in
compatibility mode and received no warnings). Has anyone come across this and
have any advice on how to create images in 2007 so that others can view them
in 2003?

Usually missing images are caused by the need to install SP1 on Office 2003.
That's where I'd start. (And since Office is up to SP2 now, I'd actually
install that service pack.) Help | Check for Updates will get you started.
