viewing other attendees when planning a meeting

hello

when i view shared calendars in outlook, i can see my co-workers appts

however, if i go to plan a meeting, and try to add other attendees, there
are no personal address books to choose from (i don't think we use
inter-office mail)

how can i view the free/busy time for my co-workers through the plan a
meeting option? (i can see their free/busy times if i just click on each day
of the calendar to see if they are busy that day but it's cumbersome)

i use thunderbird for my emails between co-workers (they use outlook)

thanks for your help

what mail server do you use? If exchange, you'll get names from the gal, not
from a personal address book.

i think we used to use microsoft mail but no longer use it

when i click on plan a meeting, and then add others, and then add from
address book

it pops up show names from the personal address book....but there are no
names visible

are their names in the address book? is this "personal address book" the
contacts folder or the old address book commonly referred to as "PAB" ?

If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when
you click on the To button, check these settings:

Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is
the box to enable as email address book is checked?

If this is grayed out...

Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or
address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add
it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.
