Viewing PDF files

I have Adobe Reader 7 but when I try to view PDF files notepad or wordpad
pops up and all the text is garbled.
Please help!

Hi, Renee,

It sounds like your file associations are messed up so that the PDF
extension (files named *.pdf) is associated with a different application.

Can you re-install Adobe Reader 7 to restore the associations?
