Viewing photos in Outlook 2007

I'm fairly new to Office 2007, but when I used 2003, I was able to view an
email that had embedded photos as part of the email body as so:

(Caption)

IMAGE
(Caption)

It seems that now, the images are attachments and I only see captions. I've
adjusted everything I can think to adjust, but no success. Is there a way to
view in this manner? Much of my work involves reviewing photos and their
captions, so it's taking a great deal more time on my end. Thanks for any
assistance!

is the message plain text or html? only 2003 supported viewing images if
they were embedded in the html. outlook 2007 support image preview in the
reading pane if the image is attached or embedded in the html.
