viewing resources and overallocation thereof

Lynne Baker

hi all, please forgive my ignorance, we've had Project
Server one week, and oh my! what a learning curve!

OK, so the problem is this.
My project manager is used to seeing overallocated
resources in the resource sheet (she likes the colour red
it would seem!)
Whilst I realise that the ideal situation would be not to
overallocate resources in the first place this is how it
is at the moment.
Now that we have PWA how does she get to see this view?
If it is that she can no longer see this particular view
is it possible for me to create a view?
Words of one syllable will be appreciated greatly!
Many thanks
lynne

Your project manager should still look for overallocated resources in the
Resource Sheet view of Microsoft Project 2002, in which overallocated
resources will be formatted in red. In addition, she should analyze the
overallocations in the Resource Usage view, which will show her
overallocations across the portfolio of projects. She should probably do
her leveling in that view as well, one overallocated resource at a time.
There's little help in attempting to use Project Web Access to analyze
resource overallocations. Hope this helps.

Lynne,

The Resource Sheet is the same in MS Project 2002 as in 2000. The only
difference is that you see allocations across all enterprise projects.
She can view it in Project directly, without the PWA.
