Viewing Taskpad - OL2003 doesn't "remember" settings

In OL2002, when I was able to create a view with the taskpad and calendar
navigator, and another view without (useful for looking at a full month on
my 12" monitor).

Unfortunately, OL2003 seems to behave differently - it doesn't "remember"
whether the taskpad was showing or not. So now when I switch from day view
(with taskpad) to monthview (without taskpad), I have to manually close the
taskpad.

Does anyone know how to get OL2003 to remember what was showing in a
particular view?
