Lost in InfoPath
Platform: MOSS 2007
Version: InfoPath 2007
We have set up our site so that the forms are always opened in the web
browser. Because not all of our users have InfoPath 2007 and due to
compatibility issues with 2003, we had to use the infopath forms services so
that the form opens in the browser no matter what version a user has. We have
versioning turned on as the forms can be updated multiple times. If a user
wants to view a previous version of a form, they can go into the version
history and open up an old version. However, the older versions won't open in
the browser, they attempt to open up the InfoPath application and we are not
sure how to solve this. The newest version of the form listed in the version
history opens up in the browser but not any of the previous versions. Looking
at the URL, we noticed that the previous versions seem to be stored in a
separate area on the server (_vti_history), whereas the latest version is
directed to the current form library. Has anyone seen this before and knows a
resolution?
