Viewing video in PowerPoint

If I create a PowerPoint presentation and insert a video, the video
plays while on my local machine. If I put it on to a network drive,
the video will not play for anyone else, but will still play for me.

Try this, If using PPT 2003 once you have the presentation set the way you
want it, click on File, Package for CD. When the next window opens click on
the following, the Options button. Make sure that Embed TT fonts and linked
files is checked then click on OK. This will bring you back to the package
window. Click on Copy to Folder button. Navigate to the drive and
directory where you want the file stored on the server. Make sure that the
video is also copied (visually check with explorer) once the OK button on
this window is clicked.

If you have PPT 2002 (XP) through PPT 97 use the Pack and go feature on the
File menu. Walks you through each step.

I would also recommend that you download and install the viewer and select
the viewer option for all of the above methods in case someone that is
viewing the video doesn't have PPT installed.

The people viewing the file should have the drive mapped to their computer.

Let us know if this helps.
