Hope someone can help ...
My manager of IT --who is responsible for the set up of
our system-- has been pulling her hair out of her head
over this one for about a week now. Since I kind of like
her hair the way it is, I chance to ask the question here.
She has set the permissions on the viewsdrop folder
according to the information that she's read on the
MicroSoft website. When she does so, all is fine for
awhile.
After about a full day, we start experiencing errors on
our project file saves (initial saves, and on close). We
do not get the error on subsequent save requests.
She'll then look at the viewsdrop folder and find that
the permissions she had set are gone! This makes no sense
to any of us.
Is there an explaination for this system behavior that
anyone can venture? Is there a correction that anyone
knows about?
Thanks much ... Earl
