Virus from the preview pain??

Hiya,

When viewing emails in the preview pain, in OE6, possible to get a virus
this way? I'm always careful not to open and attachments that I'm not sure
about, but mainly just use the preview pain to read my emails. Then if it's
any interest, I'll open it.

I've tried disabling the option 'Automatically download message when viewing
in the preview pain' - But this only seems to apply to news group posts? And
not email?
