Virus in Normal.dot file

When I open MS Word, I am informed that my Microsoft Office Template
normal.dot file is under attack by a virus- W97M.Sting - so I either delete
the file or heal it. But when I open MS Word again, normal.dot is again
under attack. It is a persistent virus. What shiould I do?

I even tried re-installing Microsoft Office but the problem is still there.

Use an antivirus program such as Norton or MacAfee to remove the
virus?
